MLS Cup 2019
Coverage from our 2019 MLS Cup championship in Seattle that was created in the days leading up to and following the match.
Two Stars
An all-access recap from our MLS Cup winning match. I acted as lead videographer, producer and editor on the piece. I also oversaw a team of five videographers on the day to ensure all points of content were captured.
We Are Seattle (ft. Gary Payton)
A hype video voiced by Seattle Sonics legend Gary Payton. It was awarded a Northwest Emmy for best Promotion - Single Spot and also won a Silver Telly Award for Social Video - Sports. I acted as lead editor on the piece.
Championship Parade
Recapping our championship parade through the city of Seattle. All shots were captured by myself either on the team bus or on stage at the rally at Seattle Center. I edited the piece within 24 hours to go out on social media.
ONCE A SOUNDER
A mini-documentary series shot across Europe, showcasing former Sounders players. The series celebrated the club’s 10th anniversary in MLS and won a silver Telly Award for Online Documentary Series. I was the lead videographer, editor and co-producer for the series.
Fredy Montero // Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon, Portugal was the final stop in our five-city trip across Europe. We met up with original Sounder Fredy Montero and attended a Sporting Lisbon match with him.
DeAndre Yedlin // Newcastle, England
In Newcastle, England we visited Seattle native DeAndre Yedlin, interviewing him at his house and capturing the buildup to Newcastle United's memorable win vs Manchester City.
Michael Gspurning // Berlin, Germany
In Berlin, Germany we visited former goalkeeper Michael Gspurning, taking in a Bundesliga match, as his club Union Berlin fought for promotion to the first division.
photography
Photography has become a new skill that I have taken on since the spring of 2020. When COVID-19 hit, all sports teams were forced to create a bubble amongst the players and staff. This limited the size of our digital team with the group, as I took on the photography duties as well as my usual video work. It was a challenge to learn on the go, but something I have loved doing and will continue to do at work and for fun.
OWNERSHIP LAUNCH
In Summer of 2019, Sounders FC introduced several new owners to the Club, including Russell Wilson, Ciara and Macklemore. Here are three pieces of content that we rolled out for the launch.

TRAINING
Training features that highlight the work our players put in either during preseason or throughout the week leading up to matches.

The team remained in Seattle for the 2021 preseason, I acted as the sole videographer, photographer and editor in the team's bubble.

The team trained for two weeks in Mexico City ahead of the 2020 season. I acted as the sole videographer and editor.

MATCHES
Match coverage from the 2021 MLS season. I acted as lead videograher and editor, overseeing a second shooter. The highlights were turned immediately following the match to use across social.

Seattle Sounders FC defeated Liga MX’s Tigres 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the Leagues Cup.
Sounders vs Minnesota United
Seattle Sounders FC defeated Minnesota
United 4-0 in the club's first match of 2021, and the first match with fans present for 13 months.
Sounders vs Whitecaps
Seattle Sounders FC defeated their Cascadia rival the Vancouver Whitecaps 4-1.

With the help of Make-A-Wish, the club welcomed a very special guest for its match vs Dortmund as Bheem took to the field..

Sounders forward and USMNT legend Clint Dempsey surprised Nathan and his family at Lumen Field for once in a lifetime experience.

Sounders FC made a special visit to Shorewood Elementary in Burien to help build gardens and share tips for sustainability.

JERSEY LAUNCH
A key moment at the start of each season is launching the club’s newest kit. These features served as the cornerstone for each jersey’s release.
The Jimi Hendrix Kit
To launch our 2021 Jimi Hendrix Kit, we had local rock band The Black Tones perform "All Along The Watchtower" that inspired the jersey. I acted as one of three videographers and co-producer for the piece.
Forever Green
Launching our 2020 Forever Green kit, we used local scenics and the beauty of the PNW to highlight our new jersey's design. I acted as director, videographer, producer and editor.
The New Rave Green
To launch our 2018 Rave Green kit, we planned a shoot at our stadium with three players pulling on the new jersey, preparing for matchday. I acted as director, videographer, producer and editor.
MLS CUP 2016
Coverage from our 2016 playoff run, that ended with an MLS Cup victory in Toronto, Ontario.

A hype video voiced by NBC's broadcaster Arlo White. I was lead editor for the feature and it was released ahead of the 2016 final.

Clint dempsey retirement
One of the most influential players in United States soccer, Clint Dempsey announced his sudden retirement in August of 2018. These three features were produced in only a few days time with the goal of honoring Clint for his time as a Sounder and with the USMNT.

A career tribute to Clint Dempsey to honor his time in MLS, Premier League and international soccer. I was lead editor for the feature.

A supplementary tribute for Clint Dempsey voiced by his former teammate Herculez Gomez. I was lead editor for the feature.
Dempsey honored for final time
Clint Dempsey was honored for the final time at CenturyLink Field following his retirement. All footage was shot by myself or my team of three, I was also lead editor.
PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENTS
A core feature for every sports team and their fanbase is new player announcements. Below are several features that announced the Rave Green’s newest signings across social.
El Nueve Nuevo
To tease one of the biggest signings in club history, we produced a video pressing Raul Ruidiaz's name onto a Sounders kit. I acted as the sole videographer and editor.
Bem-vindo, João Paulo!
To announce João Paulo's signing we captured some quick visuals with him at our training facility, and him voice a script. I acted as the sole videographer and editor.
Welcome back, Joevin Jones!
In welcoming back Joevin Jones, a former player and MLS Cup winner, we produced a fast paced highlight video of his best moments with the club.
SEASON TICKET RENEWALS
With an average attendance of 38,000 fans per match, a massive part of that is the club’s season ticket members. Each season the club launches a renewal campaign for its members, led by a video feature.
